Mitchell's close friend Angela aged 15 years old when she died in a loss in an accident involving a vehicle, also wrote about this incident. Mitchell had a very difficult time with this as well. Angela was the inspiration behind Mitchell's song Angel in her debut album. Mitchell also wrote about her incident in the book Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul as well as the 7th Heaven episode Nothing Endures But Change.
