Dina is originally from Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she relocated to Dix Hills on Long Island shortly before finishing her junior year. There are two of her younger siblings and an older brother. Her first exposure to the entertainment industry came when she did some modeling between the ages of nine and sixteen. She started her acting training at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York in which she learned the acting skills of Sanford Meisner together with Ron Stetson, for about three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who were trained by this method, as well as Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. After moving to Los Angeles, she got her first role in the Beverly Hills 90210. Her first role was in Johnny Mnemonic.
